About

Why this exists

Powered hip exoskeletons work. That part is settled — the technology has been proven in rehabilitation and industry for years, and it has finally become light enough and cheap enough to take up a mountain.

What has not happened is the price coming down to match. The category currently prices like early electric bikes: a thousand dollars and up, largely because the brands selling it are also funding the research.

We are not doing research. We specify hardware, hold it to a standard, put our name on it and support it. That removes a layer of cost that has nothing to do with what you strap to your hips.

What we will not do

We do not make medical claims. This is outdoor equipment for people who are already walking. If you are looking for a mobility aid or rehabilitation device, that is a different product with different regulation, and you should talk to a clinician rather than a shop.

We do not publish numbers we have not measured, and we do not run reviews until real customers have written them.
