Go beyond
the day trip.
More support for more ambitious days. The X Ultra S helps you stay stronger for the views that are further out.
Description
The flagship of the X Series, and the one that changes what a long day costs you. Two motors sit at the hips and add torque to whichever leg is already swinging forward, so the climb you were going to do anyway takes less out of you.
Why the titanium matters
The Ultra S uses a titanium alloy hip lever and tube where the Pro S and Max S use stainless steel and aluminium. The result is the odd one in the range: it is the most powerful unit and the lightest, at 2,538 g with a battery fitted. Titanium also handles cold and salt better, which matters if your trips end in snow or on a coast.
Two batteries, not one
It ships with two 72 Wh anti-cold batteries and a four-port charging hub. That is roughly 30 km of assisted range each on Eco 30, and a swap that takes seconds — the difference between a day out and a hut-to-hut traverse where there is nowhere to plug in. A 65 W charger brings a pack to about half in 35 minutes, so a lunch stop is enough to buy back an afternoon.
Twelve modes, including two the others do not have
Up Stairs, Down Stairs, Uphill, Downhill, Speed Walking, Walking, Cycling+, Running+, Mountain, Gravel, and two exclusive to this model: Dune for soft sand and Snow for deep powder. The unit reads your stride and switches by itself; you are not choosing modes on a hillside in the wind.
What it is not
This is outdoor equipment for people who already walk. It is not a medical device, not a mobility aid, and it will not make you faster — it makes the same speed cost you less, which is a different and more useful thing. Stand still and the motors do nothing at all.
Genuine Hypershell hardware, supplied sealed.
Fit & comfort
The X Ultra S is designed to move with you, with an adjustable fit for a wide range of body types.
